To get the most out of your facial, I recommend keeping your skincare routine simple and gentle leading up to your appointment.
3–5 days before: Avoid retinol, retinoids, exfoliating acids (AHAs/BHAs), scrubs, and other potentially irritating active ingredients, unless otherwise advised.
5–7 days before: Avoid waxing or other hair removal treatments on the areas being treated.
Before your appointment: Avoid excessive sun exposure, tanning, and any treatments that may leave your skin irritated or sensitive.
Day of your facial: Arrive with clean skin if possible. Makeup is perfectly fine, as your treatment includes a thorough cleanse!
Communicate your concerns: Please let me know about any allergies, medications, recent cosmetic procedures, skin sensitivities, or specific skincare goals.
First time receiving a facial? No worries! Every treatment at Mayari Wellness is personalized to your skin’s unique needs. We’ll discuss your concerns, assess your skin, and determine the best approach to ensure a comfortable, relaxing experience.
Please note: If you use prescription skincare products, have recently received injectables, laser treatments, or chemical peels, please reach out before your appointment so we can determine whether your facial needs to be modified or rescheduled.
